The short version. I collect only what you send me, I use it to photograph your wedding (or to talk about it), and I never sell it. That’s it.
Who I am
Humbly Hewn Photography is Erin Hassett, a wedding photographer in Kansas City, Missouri. Questions about anything on this page go to erin@humblyhewnphotography.com.
What I collect, and why
- When you fill out my contact form: your names, email, phone, wedding date, venue, and anything else you choose to tell me. The form runs on Dubsado, the studio software I use for inquiries, contracts, invoices, and questionnaires. I use it to reply to you, and if we book, to plan your day.
- When you ask for the free Quote + Timeline tool: your name and email. They come straight to my inbox. You’re not added to any mailing list.
- When you book: contract, invoice, and questionnaire details live in Dubsado. Payments go through Dubsado invoices and its secure payment processor. I never see or store your full card number.
- Your photos: galleries are delivered through Pic-Time. How your images can be shared is covered in your contract, not here.
- When you email me: it lands in my Google Workspace inbox.
What the website collects on its own
- Visit stats: the site uses Jetpack Stats (by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com) to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn’t build a profile of you, and I can’t see who you are.
- Spam filtering: Akismet checks form submissions for spam.
- Fonts and the Instagram feed: the site loads fonts from Adobe and shows my Instagram posts. Like any website, those services see your IP address when the page loads.
- Cookies: a few small, functional cookies keep the site working (for example, remembering your accessibility settings). No advertising cookies, and no Facebook or Google ad tracking.
Who else sees it
Only the services above, and only to do their job: Dubsado, Google Workspace, Pic-Time, WordPress.com/Jetpack, Akismet, and Adobe Fonts. I don’t sell, rent, or trade your information, ever.
How long I keep it
Inquiries that don’t book are kept only as long as I need them. For booked couples, I keep contracts and invoices as long as the law and my taxes require, and your gallery stays up for the access period in your contract.

Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top.
