WEDDING

DAY

Documentary wedding photographer in Kansas City

Not a photoshoot. Your day, as it happened.

Kansas City ✶ Wedding Photographer ✶

You are not a shot list.

Most of the day, I’m quietly photographing what’s really happening. When it’s time for portraits, I step in, keep it short, and tell you exactly where to stand. You’ll look like yourselves, just in really good light.

Full wedding days start at $4,000 for eight hours. Smaller days and elopements are $500 an hour, with no minimum.

True-to-life color.

Your skin looks like your skin. The bridesmaids’ dresses stay the color you picked, and the greens look like June.

Photos that age well.

Clean editing that holds up. In ten years they’ll still look like your wedding, not like whatever filter was trending.

ON THE DAY

Quiet, not invisible.

The less I manage, the more I see. So most of the day I’m off to the side, watching for the good stuff: your dad seeing you for the first time, the toast that goes sideways, the friend who cries first.

When you need me, I’m right there. I’ll run family photos fast, keep portraits short, and work with your planner so the timeline stays on track. My priority is always you two.

SHE KNEW WHEN TO CHECK IN WITH US OR GUIDE US AND WHEN TO fade into the background.

She was great at giving us prompts that created the natural reaction she wanted for a shot, but got us out of our heads about being on camera.

READ THE FAQ

Bride and groom posing on a downtown Kansas City sidewalk at sunset

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Kansas City?
With me, it’s $500 an hour. Most full wedding days land between $4,000 and $8,000, and a small day can be as little as $500. The quote builder gives you your exact number in about two minutes.

Do you photograph elopements and small weddings?
Yes. You book by the hour at $500 with no minimum, so a courthouse ceremony and a few portraits can be a single hour.

How many hours of coverage do we need?
Most full weddings need about eight. If you’re getting ready, getting married and celebrating in different places, or you want a send-off, plan on at least eight. The quote builder asks about your day and suggests the right number.

Will you pose us?
A little. Most of the day I’m photographing what happens. For portraits, I’ll put you in good light, give you a starting point, and give you something to talk about so you forget I’m there.
