This is where it all starts for me. Send me your info using my contact form, and I’ll be in touch as soon as possible. I want to get to know you as much as I can before we have the chance to chat directly, so please fill out the form with as much detail as you want.
Discovery call
Once I have confirmed your date is available on my calendar, I will connect with you and send you a link to book a discovery call with me. This will let us get to know each other better, and you’ll be able to give me all the details of your wedding day. There is no financial obligation at this stage of our connection.
Say ‘I do’
After we end our discovery call, I’ll let you take some time to think and tell me if you’d like to proceed. If you let me know this is it—you’re ready to lock it in (yay!), I’ll draw up a contract and retainer based on the details we covered in our discovery call. I require a signed contract and paid retainer* to finalize your booking.
*The retainer is a non-refundable 30% down payment of your entire contracted services agreement.

Once I have received your 30% retainer fee and your signed contract, you are booked and officially part of the Humbly Hewn wedding photography clientele! The fun is just getting started.
I am here to help make your wedding day as smooth as possible. As a Humbly Hewn client, you’ll have access to my client guide, family photo list template, timeline assistance and so much more.
Comprehensive
client guide
Upon booking confirmation, you will gain access to my comprehensive client guide!
This guide will offer you all kinds of insight into wedding planning with the goal of making space for authentic moments while balancing time for portraits. Some of this information might not apply to your wedding, and that’s okay. Take what helps you and leave the rest.
You’ll also receive a personalized link to my wedding day details questionnaire. This is where I will collect all of your final details, and I will use this information to construct your final wedding day photo timeline.
Complimentary
engagement session
The client guide is also where I share all of my general engagement session information. I cover everything from recommended locations, best time of day, outfit suggestions and more. You’ll use a booking link shared within that info to reserve a date and time that works with your schedules. Once I have your engagement session on my calendar, I’ll connect with you directly to finalize your locations, session timeline and answer any other questions you might have.
Turnaround time for engagement sessions is one to two weeks from your session date.
Wedding day

Whether you are working with a full-service wedding planner or day-of-coordinator, it’s also important for us to connect on your timeline. I will provide reasonable ideas of how long things tend to take based on your details. We’ll come up with a rough draft of your day-of timeline that you can then fine-tune with the rest of your vendor team.
Final timeline

When we are approximately a month away from your wedding day, I will create and share a final day-of photography timeline. I’ll use your submitted wedding day details questionnaire and our initial wedding day timeline to create this document that I’ll then share with you for final approval.
At that time, we’ll schedule one final timeline call where we can go over any last timeline questions and make sure we’re on the exact same page. I want you to wake up on your wedding day with full confidence in my coverage plans, so you can focus on being as present as possible.
